Are membrane keyboards quieter than mechanical ones?
Often, and that is why this page picks one where the other keyboard guides do not. The constraint here is different rather than the other guides being wrong. The case for mechanical on repairability, feel choice and size options is made in Mechanical vs. membrane keyboards: which should you actually buy?, and none of it changes here. In a shared room or on back-to-back calls, the thing that matters most is not bothering the people around you, and a membrane or scissor keyboard has no individual per-key switch mechanism the way a mechanical board does. That's a structural difference in how the two mechanisms are built rather than a decibel measurement, and no one on this site has sat in a room with either.
The word membrane does not on its own promise quiet, and the counterexample is a famous one: IBM's Model M is a membrane keyboard, and its buckling-spring mechanism is classified as clicky, with the click coming from the spring striking the barrel it sits in. The left and right buttons, and nothing else: not the scroll wheel, and not the keyboard next to it. The claim is largely a Logitech speciality, and both mice in this article's two combos carry it.

Does ANC help the person on the other end of your call?
No, and this is the most common misunderstanding about it. Active noise cancelling works on the sound reaching your ears and does nothing for what the person on the other end hears from your microphone. That's a separate feature, usually called mic-side noise reduction, and it's a different spec entirely from ANC. Neither headphone pick in this article states a mic-side noise-reduction claim, so we haven't attributed one.
Bose QuietComfort Headphones's transparency mode is the opposite of cancellation: it lets outside sound through on purpose, which matters if someone walks up to your desk mid-call and you'd rather hear them than pull a headphone off. - Does a mechanical keyboard really bother people on calls?
That has not been measured here, so there is no figure to give you.
