Best for
- Switching between quiet and hearing the room. Bose lists Active Noise Cancelling and an Aware Mode with full transparency.
- Moving between a phone and a laptop. Bose's owner's guide says they can be actively connected to up to two devices at a time.
Skip if
- You want to use an ordinary cable with a 3.5 mm plug at both ends. Bose's owner's guide says the cable goes into a 2.5 mm port on the left earcup.

Prices change; check the one for the colour you want. Bose's pages list them in Black, Blue Dusk, Chilled Lilac, Cypress Green, Ice Blue, Moonlight Grey, Moonstone Blue, Petal Pink, Sandstone, Twilight Blue and White Smoke.
In the box: the headphones, a carry case, a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm audio cable, a 12" USB-C cable (A to C) and a safety sheet. The charging port is USB-C, and the supplied cable has a USB-A plug at the other end, so a charger or computer with only USB-C ports needs an adapter.
How do Quiet Mode and Aware Mode work on the QuietComfort Headphones?
Bose's product page says you can shut out the world with Quiet Mode, enjoy full transparency with Aware Mode, or blend the two with a Custom Mode in the Bose app.
Active cancelling uses microphones to pick up outside sound and plays an opposing signal to cancel it, and it does best on steady, low-pitched noise such as an engine's hum. A transparency mode works the other way round, using the microphones to let outside sound in on purpose.

How long does the battery last, and how do they connect?
Bose quotes up to 24 hours of battery life. Figures like this come from the maker's own test settings.
They connect over Bluetooth 5.1, and Bose's support specifications give a range of up to 33 feet (10 meters).
Bose's owner's guide says you can store up to eight devices in the headphones' device list and keep up to two actively connected at a time.
