How many buttons can you program on the Naga V2 HyperSpeed?
Razer gives it 19 buttons and lists all 19 as programmable. A programmable button can send a key, a shortcut or a macro instead of its usual click. Razer also describes a feature that it says doubles the number of button inputs at the push of a button, unlocking a second set of functions on top of your existing button assignments in Razer Synapse. The mouse stores 1 onboard profile.
Razer calls the wheel dual mode. Its master guide names a Free-Spin Scrolling mode, and the product page lists a tilt scroll wheel. A free-spinning wheel keeps rolling after a flick. How long does the AA battery last?
Razer quotes up to 250 hours on HyperSpeed Wireless and up to 400 hours on Bluetooth. When the battery runs flat, a fresh AA has you going again with no wait to recharge, so keep a spare in the drawer.
How does the Naga V2 HyperSpeed connect?
HyperSpeed is Razer's 2.4GHz wireless, through its HyperSpeed wireless USB dongle. Bluetooth needs no dongle, as long as your computer has Bluetooth. Razer's master guide lets you set the polling rate to 125Hz, 500Hz or 1000Hz. Polling rate is how many times a second the mouse reports its position to your computer.
