How good is the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K's sensor?
Razer's Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2 goes up to 35,000 DPI. DPI sets how far the cursor travels for each inch the mouse moves. Razer rates the sensor to track movement up to 750 IPS (inches per second) and 70 G of acceleration.
Polling rate is how many times a second the mouse reports its position to your computer. What DPI and polling rate each change is covered in our guide DPI vs polling rate: which mouse number actually matters?
Tracking gets praise in reviews. One review found its raw tracking very good in testing; another found the sensor quick and accurate, and said it tracked well across a variety of surfaces.
How does it connect, and how long does the battery last?
It connects by Razer's HyperSpeed Wireless through the dongle in the box, by Bluetooth, or wired. Bluetooth needs no dongle, but your computer has to have Bluetooth.
Razer quotes up to 140 hours on HyperSpeed Wireless (constant motion at 1000 Hz) and up to 210 hours on Bluetooth. With the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle and Mouse Dock Pro (both sold separately), Razer quotes up to 28 hours (constant motion at 8000 Hz). What each connection trades away is covered in our guide Wired, 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth: which mouse connection is actually fastest?
