Keychron K2 Pro

Is the K2 Pro right for you?
The K2 Pro is a mechanical keyboard in a 75% compact layout that connects by Bluetooth or Type-C cable.
Best for
- People who move between devices. Keychron says it connects to up to 3 devices over Bluetooth.
- Tinkerers. Every version but the Black - Fully Assembled one is listed as hot-swappable, and the keys remap with QMK and Keychron's Launcher.
Skip if
- You'd game over wireless. Keychron lists the polling rate as 90Hz in wireless mode, against 1000Hz on the cable.
A 75% layout keeps the function row and arrow keys but drops the number pad; how it compares with bigger boards is covered in our guide Full-size, TKL or compact: which keyboard size should you get?
Want to see it next to a mouse and a headset? Try it on the QuickDesker board and build a whole desk setup around it.
What does it cost, and what should you check first?
- Seen at Keychron.com for $67.99 (Black - Fully Assembled / White Backlight / K Pro Red) on 11 Sep 2026
- Seen at Best Buy for $119.99 (Black - Fully Assembled (Hot-Swappable) / RGB Backlight Aluminum Frame / K Pro Red) on 11 Sep 2026
Prices change, so check the current one before you buy. Keychron sells four builds: Black - Fully Assembled (Hot-Swappable), White - Fully Assembled (Hot-Swappable), Black - Barebone (Hot-Swappable) and Black - Fully Assembled.
Keychron's note says the Black - Fully Assembled version "is NOT hot-swappable and it doesn't include sound-absorbing foam, silicone pad."
Keychron's spec lists the layout as ANSI, the usual US arrangement. Keychron lists macOS, Windows and Linux as compatible.
What are the K Pro switches and keycaps, and can you swap them?
Keychron lists the switch type as Keychron K Pro Mechanical, in K Pro Red, K Pro Blue or K Pro Brown. On the hot-swappable versions you can pull a switch and fit a compatible one without soldering.
The keycaps are double-shot PBT in OSA profile.
How long does the battery last, and is Bluetooth fast enough?
Keychron's Bluetooth figure is around 260 hours with the backlight off and around 130 hours with RGB at its lowest brightness, from a 4000 mAh battery.
On the cable it reports 1000 times a second (1000Hz); over Bluetooth 5.1, Keychron lists 90Hz. Polling rate is how often the keyboard tells the computer what you pressed, so for fast games plug it in. For typing, Bluetooth is plenty.
Keychron also lists N-key rollover in both wireless and wired modes, which means every key you hold down at once registers.
