How does the Studio Pro ANC's noise cancelling work?
JLab lists the cancelling as hybrid. Active cancelling picks up outside sound through microphones and plays an opposing signal to cancel it; hybrid means it listens both outside and inside the ear cup.
JLab describes Be Aware as pass-through for outside noises. JLab says its app adjusts the Be Aware settings and offers EQ presets including JLab Signature, Balanced and Bass Boost.
JLab lists 2-mic ENC, its environmental noise canceling microphones. ENC cleans up your voice for the person on the other end of a call; it doesn't quiet the room for you. There's more on how hybrid cancelling differs from a noise-cancelling microphone in our guide: What “noise cancelling” actually means on a headphone box.
How does the Studio Pro ANC connect, and what do its audio specs say?
It uses Bluetooth 5, and JLab gives a range of 30+ feet. A codec is how music is compressed for the wireless link.
JLab lists latency under 200ms in its Movie Mode.
For the sound hardware, JLab lists 40mm dynamic drivers and an impedance of 32 ohms. There's more on what driver size and impedance tell you in our guide: What do headphone specs actually mean? Frequency response, impedance and driver size.
