Logitech K400 Plus

Logitech K400 Plus

Is the K400 Plus right for you?

The K400 Plus is a wireless keyboard that connects through Logitech's USB Unifying receiver and runs on two AA batteries, and Logitech describes it as having a built-in touchpad.

Best for

  • People who run a computer connected to a TV. Logitech says its media controls "make navigating your PC-controlled TV a breeze".
  • People who'd rather not recharge a keyboard. It takes 2 AA batteries, and they're in the box.

Skip if

  • Your device has no free USB port. Logitech lists an available USB port as required.
  • You want backlit keys. Logitech's support specifications list backlighting as "n/a".

How long do the batteries last?

Logitech's support specifications quote up to 18 months from the two AA batteries. Its product page credits "a handy on/off switch and power-saving technology" for preserving that. A keyboard that runs on AA cells is topped up by swapping in fresh batteries, not by plugging it in.

It connects by Logitech's Unifying protocol (2.4 GHz) through the USB receiver.

What do reviewers say?

Two reviews singled out the touchpad. One praised having a built-in trackpad; another found the trackpad fairly responsive, with a convenient left-click button.

They split on the build. One found noticeable flex and torsion in the all-plastic board; the other found it well constructed while remaining light.
