The C2 Pro is a wired mechanical keyboard with a full size (100%) layout, and Keychron lists its connection as Type-C.
Best for
- People who'd like to try other switches. On the RGB Backlight (Hot-swappable) version, Keychron says you can change switches without soldering.
- People who use both Mac and Windows. Keychron says it has a system toggle and keycaps for both, and you can set a different keymap for each.

What does it cost, and what should you check first?

Prices change; check the one for the version you want. Keychron sells four versions: Retro - RGB Backlight, White Backlight, RGB Backlight and RGB Backlight (Hot-swappable).
If you want to swap switches, pick the RGB Backlight (Hot-swappable) one: Keychron says the hot-swap sockets are "for hot-swappable version only".
Keychron says the C2 Pro's open-source QMK firmware handles key remapping, macros and shortcuts. You customize each key in the Keychron Launcher web app, which Keychron says works with macOS, Windows and Linux.
What are the K Pro switches and keycaps, and which version takes new switches?
Keychron lists K Pro Red and K Pro Brown switches. It says the K Pro switch "wobbles less than a standard mechanical switch".
On the RGB Backlight (Hot-swappable) version, Keychron says the sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change switches without soldering, and the PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

What does the 1000 Hz polling rate mean?
Polling rate is how often a keyboard reports key presses to the computer. Keychron lists 1000 Hz, so a report goes out every millisecond, and says that makes "the latency hardly noticeable even in competitive games".
