Kensington Pro Fit Ergo Vertical (K75501WW)
Is the Pro Fit Ergo Vertical right for you?
The Pro Fit Ergo Vertical is a right-handed vertical mouse that connects by a 2.4GHz USB receiver and runs on an AA battery.
Best for
- People who'd like to try an upright, handshake-style grip. Kensington describes it as a natural handshake position.
- Anyone happy to run a mouse on an AA battery. Kensington lists AA as the battery type, and says a low battery indicator lets you know when it's time to change it.
Skip if
- You have small hands. Kensington says it's designed to fit users with average to larger sized hands.
A vertical mouse moves across the desk like any other mouse, while a trackball stays put and you roll the ball instead. How the two compare is covered in our guide Vertical mouse vs. trackball: which ergonomic mouse is right for you?
Want to see it next to a keyboard and a headset? Try it on the QuickDesker board and build a whole desk setup around it.

Prices change, so check the current one before you buy. Kensington's product sheet lists the mouse, a 2.4GHz USB-A dongle, 1 AA battery, an instruction guide, a warranty card and a compliance doc in the box. A USB-A plug doesn't fit a USB-C port without an adapter. Kensington says the receiver stores inside the mouse when it's not in use.
Kensington's product page names KensingtonWorks Customization. Its support page lists the software as Kensington Konnect Trackballs and Mice for Mac and for Windows. The product page also lists a limited 3-year warranty.
How upright does the Pro Fit Ergo Vertical hold your hand?
Kensington describes a contoured, natural slope of 46.7 degrees and lists the mouse for the right hand. A vertical mouse turns your palm to face sideways, the way it sits in a handshake, instead of lying flat on the desk. Kensington says the slope keeps your wrist in a neutral handshake position, and it describes an extended lip for your little finger.
Kensington's product sheet gives the size as 112mm long, 76mm wide and 71mm high, and the weight as 93.5g. How to measure your hand for a mouse is covered in our guide Palm, claw or fingertip: which mouse grip do you use, and does it matter?
How does the Pro Fit Ergo Vertical connect?
Kensington lists the connection as a 2.4GHz USB receiver, and says you plug in the nano receiver for plug and play wireless connectivity up to 20 meters (65.61 feet).
What DPI settings does the Pro Fit Ergo Vertical have?
Kensington lists 6 buttons: the scroll wheel, left, right, forward, back and a DPI button. It gives the DPI settings as 800, 1000, 1200 and 1600. Its product sheet lists a red LED indicator on the scroll wheel for the low battery alert and the DPI switch.
