Are the JBuds Mini right for you?
The JBuds Mini are JLab's true wireless earbuds, and they connect over Bluetooth 5.3.
Best for
- Switching between a phone and a laptop. JLab says you can connect them to two devices at once with Multipoint, and switch between your phone and laptop without re-pairing every time.
- Splashes. JLab rates them IP55, which it calls everyday proof; in an IP rating the second digit is for water, and 5 means protection against jets of water.
Skip if
- You want noise cancelling. JLab's JBuds Mini support page doesn't list active noise cancelling.

Prices change; check the one for the colour you want. JLab's product page lists them in Black, Sage Gray, Teal, Pink and Mint, and the warranty is the JLab 2 Year Limited Warranty.
Check how you'll charge them. They charge over USB-C, and JLab says they don't come with a charger or wall adapter. The box list is the earbuds, the charging case and gel tips, and JLab's spec list puts the tips at 3 sets.
How long do the JBuds Mini last on a charge?
JLab quotes 5.5 hours of playtime per earbud and 20 hours in total with the charging case. The case has a battery of its own and recharges the earbuds when they go back in, which is what the bigger figure counts.
JLab's quick-charge figure is 10 minutes = 1 hour, and it lists a case charge time of 2.5 hours.
What do you get over Bluetooth and on calls?
They connect over Bluetooth 5.3 with the SBC and AAC codecs, and JLab gives a range of 30+ feet. A codec is how the music is compressed for the wireless link, and iPhones use AAC. JLab lists latency under 200ms in Movie Mode, against over 200ms for music.
For calls, JLab lists two MEMS microphones and 2-mic ENC, its environmental noise canceling microphones. That kind of processing filters background sound out of your voice for the person on the other end; it does nothing to what you hear. JLab also lists a Be Aware Mode, which it describes as being for safe listening. What do reviewers say?
Two reviews picked out the size. One praised how portable they are; another praised the compact, IP55-rated design. JLab calls them its smallest earbuds ever.
They split on bass. One said it could be stronger, while the other found the bass and percussion impactful.
