The JBuds Lux ANC is JLab's over-ear headphone with hybrid active noise cancelling, connecting over Bluetooth 5.4 or by a USB-C to C cable.

How does the JBuds Lux ANC's noise cancelling work?
JLab lists the cancelling as hybrid, and says it reduces ambient noise by up to 35dB using both feedforward and feedback microphones. Active cancelling picks up outside sound through microphones and plays an opposing signal to cancel it; hybrid means it listens both outside and inside the ear cup.
JLab says its Be Aware Mode switches off ANC when you need to hear your surroundings.
For calls, JLab lists 3-mic ENC, its environmental noise canceling microphones. That cleans up your voice for the person on the other end; it doesn't quiet the room for you. There's more on how hybrid cancelling differs from a noise-cancelling microphone in our guide: What “noise cancelling” actually means on a headphone box.
How does the JBuds Lux ANC connect, and can you listen on a cable?
Wirelessly it uses Bluetooth 5.4 with the SBC and AAC codecs, and JLab gives a range of 30+ feet. A codec is how the music is compressed for the wireless link, and iPhones use AAC. JLab lists latency under 200ms in its Movie Mode.
For wired listening, JLab says the included USB-C to C cable also supports wired audio playback.
Want to share what you're listening to? That's what Wireless Share Mode is for: JLab says it lets two pairs of JBuds Lux ANC headphones share audio from one device simultaneously.
