Prices change; check the one for the colour you want. Bose sells them in Black, White Smoke, Deep Plum, Desert Gold and Midnight Violet.
In the box are the two earbuds, Bose's fit kit of 3 pairs of eartips (S, M, L) and 3 pairs of stability bands (1, 2, 3), the wireless charging case, a 12" USB-C (A to C) cable and a safety sheet. That cable's USB-A plug doesn't fit a USB-C port without an adapter.
They connect over Bluetooth 5.3, and Bose lists multipoint, which it says lets you pair to multiple devices at once and switch between them.
Bose rates them IPX4; in an IP rating, the 4 means protection against splashing water.
How good is the noise cancelling on the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen)?
Three reviews praised it. Bose says the cancelling uses microphones both inside and outside the earbuds, with electronics that produce an opposing cancellation signal. The passive part comes from the earbud design, which Bose puts down to the silicone eartips and the acoustic seal you get from a proper fit.
Bose says Aware Mode lets you hear what's around you, and that the Bose app lets you create custom modes with a noise cancellation level of your choosing.
For calls, Bose says its SpeechClarity tech uses noise-rejecting mics to filter out background sounds and wind. That cleans up your voice for the person on the other end and does nothing to what you hear. How long do they last on a charge, and what does Immersive Audio change?
Bose quotes 6 hours with Immersive Audio off and 4 hours with it on, and says the case holds up to three full charges. Immersive Audio is Bose's spatial audio, which processes sound so it seems to come from around you.
Bose lists 2 hours to charge the earbuds and 3 hours for the case, and says a 20-minute quick charge gives up to 2 hours of use.
