Prices change; check the one for the colour you want. In the box: 2 Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, a charging case, a USB-C cable (USB-A to USB-C, 12"), a fit kit with Small, Medium and Large eartips and stability bands for each earbud, and a safety sheet. That cable's USB-A plug doesn't fit a USB-C port without an adapter.
Bose rates them IPX4 and says splashes, drips, and sprays won't hold you back. In an IP rating, the 4 means protection against splashing water.
Bose lists Quiet, Aware and Off noise-cancelling settings, and the companion app is the Bose QCE App.
How long do the QuietComfort Earbuds last on a charge?
Bose's support specifications quote up to 9 hours for the earbuds. Its product page says 8.5 hours, and a footnote there says playback time was up to 9 hours before battery depletion. Figures like these come from the maker's own test settings, so your volume and how much you use noise cancelling change what you get.
Bose says a full charge of the case can charge the earbuds 2.5 times, for up to 31.5 hours of use, and that a 20-minute quick charge powers them for up to 3 hours.
Bose lists 1.5 hours to charge the earbuds and up to 2 hours for the case, a time it says varies when the earbuds are inside.
How do the QuietComfort Earbuds connect, and which codecs do they use?
They connect over Bluetooth 5.3, and Bose lists the A2DP, HFP and AVRCP profiles. A2DP carries stereo audio, HFP handles calls, and AVRCP lets the earbuds control playback.
Bose lists a range of up to 30 feet (9 meters).
Two reviews faulted the codec support: one said they support only SBC and AAC, and another noted no support for aptX. A codec is how audio is compressed for the wireless link, and iPhones use AAC.
