Is the iMouse E1 right for you?
The iMouse E1 is a right-handed vertical mouse with an optical sensor, set at a 50 degree vertical angle, that connects by USB and weighs 113 g.

- People who'd like to try an upright grip. Adesso calls it a "handshake position", which it says is the neutral position of your forearm.
- Browsing back and forth through web pages. Adesso puts back and forward buttons on the side of the mouse for it.
Skip if
- You'd rather not have a cable on the desk. Adesso lists USB as the connection, and its quick start guide gives the cable as 6 ft. (1.8 m).

Adesso says the iMouse E1 is plug and play and needs no drivers: you plug it into any available USB port. Its product page lists the operating system as Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10. Adesso's quick start guide lists a one year limited warranty.
How upright does the iMouse E1 hold your hand?
Adesso sets the iMouse E1 at a 50 degree vertical angle and lists it for the right hand. A vertical mouse turns your palm to face sideways, the way it sits in a handshake, instead of lying flat on the desk. Adesso says the vertical design gives your forearm better support and keeps it from twisting.
Adesso's dimensions for it differ by page: 75 x 120 x 63 mm in its quick start guide and 75 x 125 x 63 mm on its product page. It lists the weight as 0.3 lb. (113 g).
What DPI settings does the iMouse E1 have?
Adesso lists 6 buttons: left and right click, back and forward, a DPI switch and the scroll wheel. The DPI switch's settings appear two ways on Adesso's product page. Its Specifications list gives the resolution as 1000/1600 DPI, while a feature bullet on the same page says "Adjustable cursor moving speed from 800, 1200 to 1600 DPI." Both put the highest setting at 1600 DPI.
DPI sets how far the cursor travels for each inch the mouse moves, so a higher setting moves it further for the same movement of your hand. Adesso lists an optical sensor, and says it tracks accurately and precisely on surfaces like marble, wood and leather.
