Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL

Is the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL right for you?
The G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL is a low-profile mechanical keyboard in a tenkeyless layout that connects by USB receiver, Bluetooth or USB cable.
Best for
- Anyone who likes to remap keys. Logitech says its G HUB software can program up to 15 functions per key.
Skip if
- You need a number pad. Logitech calls it a tenkeyless design.
A tenkeyless layout is a full-size one with the number pad left off; which size suits your desk is covered in our guide Full-size, TKL or compact: which keyboard size should you get?
Want to see it next to a mouse and a headset? Try it on the QuickDesker board and build a whole desk setup around it.

Prices change; check the one for the colour and switch you want. Logitech sells it in Black or White, each with tactile or linear switches.
The detachable charging and data cable in the box is USB-A to USB-C, and a USB-A plug doesn't fit a USB-C port without an adapter.
Logitech's system requirements list a computer with a USB-A port running Windows 10 or above or macOS 12 or later, or a Bluetooth-enabled device running one of the systems in the table below. Logitech also lists internet access for its G HUB software.
Logitech says compatible mice can pair to the same receiver, which it calls 2:1 pairing. The warranty is two years.
How do the low-profile GL switches compare with regular ones?
Logitech lists the switches as low-profile GL mechanical switches, in a tactile or a linear version. Its support specifications give 3.2±0.25mm of total travel. A full-height mechanical switch typically travels about 4 mm, so each press here is a little shorter.
Actuation point is how far down a key goes before it registers, and actuation force is how hard you have to press, in grams-force (gf). Logitech puts the actuation point at 1.3mm±0.30mm. It rates the tactile switch at 45±10gf and the linear one at 43±10gf.
Linear switches are smooth all the way down; tactile ones have a bump partway through the press.
How long does the battery last, and how often does it report key presses?
Logitech quotes up to 36 hours of battery life from a 1500mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Its support specifications say the battery isn't user-replaceable.
Logitech's support specifications give a maximum USB report rate of 1 ms. Report rate (often called polling rate) is how often the keyboard tells the computer what you pressed.
What do reviewers say?
Reviews split on the sound. One heard a plasticky rattle when typing; another found typing almost silent. Logitech says the board uses sound dampening layered construction.
