Prices change, so check the current one before you buy. JLab lists a USB-C charge port and promises wireless charging plus an integrated USB-C charging cable. It also says the earbuds don't come with a charger or wall adapter.

The box holds Sporthook Earbuds, an Integrated Charging Case and Gel Ear Tips, and the warranty runs two years. For phones, JLab names LDAC for Android and AAC for iOS. A codec is how the music is compressed for the wireless link; LDAC is a high-bitrate one that many Android phones support.

What kind of noise cancelling does the Epic Sport ANC 3 have?

JLab lists it as hybrid, and says the cancelling uses feedforward (exterior) and feedback (interior) microphones with a noise canceling algorithm. Active cancelling picks up outside sound through microphones and plays an opposing signal to cancel it; hybrid means it listens both outside and inside the earbud.

JLab gives it three noise control modes: ANC On, ANC Off and Be Aware, which it says passes outside noises through.

For calls, JLab lists 2-mic ENC, its environmental noise canceling microphones. That cleans up your voice for the person on the other end; it doesn't quiet the room for you. There's more on how hybrid cancelling differs from a noise-cancelling microphone in our guide: What “noise cancelling” actually means on a headphone box.

How long does the Epic Sport ANC 3's battery last?

JLab's spec list gives a single earbud 10 hours of playtime with noise cancelling on, and puts single-earbud playtime at 12 hours. It lists 42 hours in total with noise cancelling on. A total figure counts the refills the charging case holds as well as the earbuds' own charge.

Short on time? JLab says 10 minutes of charging gives 2 hours, and lists a charge time of under 2 hours.
